Algorithm of obtaining mine ventilation network based on loop air volume analysis

  • As the mine ventilation system becomes increasingly complex, computers are commonly applied to resolve the mine ventilation network.Algorithm is the key of the program operation. It is important to develop an algorithm that resolving complex wind network efficiently. Based on an in-depth study of the loop method, analyzing the shortcomings of current ventilation network resolving algorithms, The principles of the loop airflow method and the Scott-Hinsley+Seidel method are described in detail. The main steps of the algorithm include"determining the wind network structure", "assigning edges and selecting the minimum spanning tree", "circling the independent loops", and "solving the network".Kruskal's method for selecting the minimum spanning tree is easy to understand and convenient for the implementation of computer programs. The trial-and-error method was used to draw independent loops, eliminating the need for secondary solutions for recurring subproblems. The improved Scott-Hinsley method is used for air quantity solving to make the calculation converge faster and improve the execution efficiency of the algorithm. According to the algorithm steps, a program block diagram was designed to optimize the algorithm. This algorithm is capable of providing guide for the mine ventilation design and system modification practices.
