Discussion on safety application of abrasive water jet cutting technology in coal mine production

  • In view of the dangerous substances such as gas and pulverized coal produced in the coal mining process are easy to cause fire and even explosion accidents, it was proposed to use abrasive water jet cold cutting technology for safety applications such as equipment cutting, dismantling and recycling in coal mine production. The technical classification and applicable occasions of abrasive water jet cutting technology were analyzed. The adaptability of its cold cutting characteristics in strengthening gas extraction, tunnel excavation, safety production guarantee, resource recycling, disposal of waste equipment, emergency cutting and rescue was expounded. In view of the problems existing in the application of abrasive water jet cutting device in underground coal mines, specific suggestions are given in terms of device accessibility, water and electricity security, executive agencies, and supervision and management.
